What: Baker Street Quarter’s Summer in the Square is back and it’s better than ever.
Why: This year, the FREE Summer in the Square is made up of four unmissable events, all offering a range of activities, a bar and a selection of street food vendors.
Where: Marylebone’s Portman Square Garden, Summer in the Square
When: From 22 June and runs through 5-10 July, 17 August and 7 September.
Watch Wimbledon for free
Where better to watch Wimbledon for free than London’s most beautiful square – sit back and relax on a deck chair with a cocktail in hand. Each event runs from 12-8pm so there’s ample opportunity to visit; whether you change your lunchtime habit, meet up with friends after work or just while away a perfect English summer’s day.
Yoga or pilates in the sun
Fancy yoga or pilates in the sun? Join in in Summer in the Square. There will also be a full line-up of free sustainable wellbeing activities and workshops to brighten up your day. Learn how to upcycle your favourite fashion item or test out your creative skills with an arts and crafts workshop – this vibrant part of Marylebone has it all.
Eat the world
When you’ve worked up an appetite, there will be some specially selected food stalls in the square offering delicious global cuisine, including Marylebone restaurants Chotto Matte and Wulf and Lamb, plus street food from Kang Foo Noodles, Bao Kusina, Funky Elephant and The Good Foods Group.
There will also be a fully stocked bar for each event (run by Set the Bar, Philglas & Swiggot and Grazing Goat) to keep you refreshed all day – offering everything from special summer mocktails and wines to craft beers and spirits. And just in case you were wondering, yes of course Pimm’s will be served – it wouldn’t be Wimbledon without Pimm’s would it? Surrounding the square, the area offers a whole host of other places to eat, drink and shop in Marylebone.
Dine at the likes of Bill’s, Chiltern Firehouse, Royal China or brunch at Daisy Green. Grab a cocktail at The Churchill Bar and Terrace or sip, smell and swirl the finest wines at the restaurant and wine bar, Clarette.
